Friends Don’t Let Friends Pack On The Pounds

Friends Don’t Let Friends Pack On The Pounds

Why is it that if we kick it in, trim on down and look fantastic, people start the “OMG! You’re too skinny!” crusade? Subconsciously, before we realize it, hearing all the “you’re too skinny” crap gets us to let up on our razor sharp focus towards superior health! On the flip side, put on 10 to 15 pounds and lips are sealed. However, all the talk behind your back amps up.

Why don’t friends rally to encourage us to polish and perfect ourselves to focus on being the best version of ourselves possible?

We should say “Amy, stop over eating. Don’t have another cookie. I know how unhappy you are if you gain a few pounds. Your self confidence plummets. Not to mention, being even 10 pounds overweight contributes to many health concerns. And even putting on 5 pounds can ruin our moods.” Ironically enough, we get encouraged to go ahead and have another cookie. That’s down right evil! Be yourself, weigh the weight you feel best at. Block out the side chatter of others. Unfortunately we can never be certain of the motives of others. So do your own thing!

My advice is to get a grip now. As we head into the cold winter months and holiday season, some can get a little blue–let’s not turn down that street. Adopt razor sharp focus. Get to your goal weight now. You should not care what others think. Go forward and never look back. START NOW. You can make it happen for you – once and for all. Set an example for others to be the best they can be. You rock the dance floor New Years Eve!
