The 2010 Chicago Marathon has come and gone! As a professional who participated or a now newly inspired spectator to run next year’s race, we should consider the critical importance of internal cleansing.
Internal cleansing makes it possible for us to get rid of the old and stabilize a new solid health foundation. Whether or not we are adding to an already strong fit body or starting from scratch to build a strong, balanced, athletic body, internal cleansing is a must! Many athletes understand how colonics and the use of oxygen steam saunas can give them the cutting edge over competition. In fact several Olympian teams travel with oxygen steam saunas and schedule regular colonics.
When we think of our body as a machine it is clear to see that the cleaner we are inside the smoother running we are. We need to start to think about the things we take away from our diets that add to a toxic internal environment rather than putting too much focus on all the must have supplements. Yes, when heavily training, supplements are needed as long as they are of the purest quality. But giving our body a break from even the best supplements is necessary for certain periods of time to truly give our organs a rest and breath of fresh air. First of all, we consume large amounts of protein which can slow down and affect natural elimination. Secondly we consume a lot of nutritional supplements which places an additional burden on the liver as it tries to process these nutrients.
Including colonics and oxygen steam saunas as a part of your health care regimen will support healthy liver function and colon elimination. You will see your athletic performance climb the cleaner you become internally. For those with goals to become more athletic, internal cleansing will give you a clean solid slate to start to build a strong lean body. Taking a month or so to back off of everything and to only consume clean whole organic foods can give your body, including all organs, a much needed break. Even if you consider yourself to be extremely healthy, a break will enable you to come back stronger than ever before! After watching the Chicago Marathon, I am positively motivated to get started training inside over the winter so that come next summer I can make a go at it and join in! How about you?
