There are certain foods which help counteract negative effects of aging on the body. Consuming these foods, in addition to being anti-aging, will improve overall health and vitality. The nutrient rich foods are also proven to protect you against disease and illness.
- Berries: Berries of all types are super rich in antioxidants which are the best age fighter available. The dark berries in color (blue and black) have the highest concentration of antioxidants. - Fish: Studies show that people who eat fish on a regular basis live longer! The omega-3 is found most abundantly in cold water fish such as salmon, herring, tuna and sardines. Try to shop for clean, fresh water options. You can take fish oil supplements as well. Omega-3 also protects against heart disease and reduces inflammation.
- Avocados: Avocados contain profound oils that strengthen and hydrates your skin. The high concentration of monounsaturated fats in avocados is exceptional for our cardiovascular system. One a day keeps the botox away!
